In the future, the I-SWARM-robots could be used in several applications like cleaning, medical applications or manufacturing small items for micro-electronics and micro-mechatronics. There are no specific applications foreseen since this project is a so called basic research project. Maybe, if you have an idea, let us know. |

Our next step is the design of robots that are able to assemble themselves to one more complicated robot. This means, that maybe 20 robots get together and form one single, more complicated robot, just like the transformer in Stehpen Spielbergs latest Hollywood film does – but not that big. |
